Winefest

Dear Crazy ladies, It's that time of year, yes to bike, but also for St. Joseph's annual Wine Festival.  As I'm on the committee I get to sell tickets.  Yipee!  Anyway, it is a fun event, this year it is on Friday March 13th and Saturday March 14th.  The Friday event is the 38th Annual Five Tastes of Wine, from 7-11 PM.  Centerline will be the featured band (a reunion gig they did just for this event).  There is a two hour tasting from 7 to 9 PM of a wide selection of wines and microbrews with light appetizers.  You get a wineglass to keep,  tickets are $20 apiece.  The Saurday night event is the 10th Annual Connoisseurs' Wine Tasting and Auction from 6 to 10 PM.  This event features premium wines from around the region.  It is an open tasting (no limit to how many wines you want to taste), fine cuisine and dessert with Jazz music.  There is a silent auction at 6 PM, live auction at 8:15 including some lovely wines and travel items.  Tickets for Saturday are $40 apiece.  Bargains galore with tickets, if you want a couples ticket for Saturday, that costs $75, if you want to go both nights it is $50, couples both nights $100.  Unfortunately I am out of town this year, I ususally attend both nights and work the events.  Since I will leave town on March 8th, if you want tickets you can buy them from me until March 7th, otherwise you can buy tickets anytime from St. Joes foundation, 208-799-5416.  Thanks, Vicky Boubel 509-243-4424

Subject: Fwd: Hello!

I just wanted to send a short note and let you all know I appreciated the cards, emails, prayers, good thoughts, and favors.  I
miss everyone and look forward to this summer.  I may have to get a tandem and get one of our very strong riders to get up
front so I can keep up with everyone. :-)   The operation went well and everything is all patched up.  I'm up and around on one
crutch and that helps to have a free hand. Now I have to learn to trust that the knee will hold me up so I practice with baby
steps.  I hope it won't be much longer because I am getting a callous on my 'crutch' hand!   I wear my brace all the time and I
think the hardest thing is only being able to sleep on my back!  Mostly I'm doing good but of course I have my bad patches.  Bill
has been awesome -  what a sweet man.  I'm grateful for him and my dear friends who haven't forgotten me.  Take care all of
you.  I should be back about the middle of March.  Happy riding!   love Helen
